Brookie was dumped in a rural area and struck out looking for a home. Her rescuer stepped in to help. She is now vetted and very healthy.
She is like butter, sweet and gentle and wants to stay by your side. She pays attention to her person and is very obedient. She would be the best companion for someone who wants an empathetic soul for a friend.
In the car she is calm, at the vet she is calm, this is just the most awesome girl.
She plays well with other dogs. I specified older respectful kids because she is so gentle and sensitive. We want someone who will give that same energy back to her.
We'd like to find a foster until we find an adopter, or a foster to adopt. She wants to be around people so much that I don't want her to linger in a boarding situation.
Age: 8 months
Weight: 46 lbs
Temperament: Gets along with all people, older respectful kids, dogs and maybe cats we need to test.
Training: crate-trained and we'll have to determine if house trained, very easy on leash.
Vetting: Spay is being scheduled, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Email for questions: Brook at comedyforcanines@gmail.com or Pam at pheiges@yahoo.com
To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
