My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Tofu, and I’m a 1-year-old domestic longhair with a soft coat, gentle eyes, and a heart full of affection. I may look elegant and fluffy, but deep down I’m just a lovable girl who wants a warm home and kind humans to call my own.

My absolute favorite thing in the world is head rubs. The moment your hand reaches toward me, I lean right in and start purring like I mean it. I’m calm, gentle, and happiest when I’m getting cozy attention from someone who appreciates a sweet, affectionate companion.

I’m still young, so I enjoy exploring, lounging in sunny spots, and quietly observing the world around me. But no matter what I’m doing, I’m always ready to pause for some love—especially those perfect head rubs I can’t get enough of.

If you’re looking for a soft, loving, easygoing friend to share your home and your heart, I’d be so excited to meet you. Maybe I’m the perfect little companion you’ve been waiting for. Adopt me today!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
