She is sweet…she is grace…she has a cute face… She is Sydney! This girl is a few piggie grunts and a snuggle away from stealing anyones heart when they meet her, and I'm speaking from experience.
Sydney is estimated to be 3-years-old, she weighs 49 lbs, and is possibly a pittie/sharpei mix but in rescue both breed and birthdate are impossible to know. What I love about this girl is her presence its equal parts happy and heart, and you can just see it in her eyes.
Sydney’s energy is low and lovely with people and dogs. She's not much of the bouncy, playful type, but she enjoys being around calm, friendly dogs. Her best dog companions are easygoing but playful and although she doesn’t need a dog buddy to thrive, if she has one you’ll get to see another layer of her personality. Sydney will need a cat free home, she met our house cat and was so eager we anticipate she would chase a cat.
She's currently fostered in a home with a variety of dogs, from little to large, and does great—coexisting calmly and always a chill presence. Sydney’s ideal home is mellow and she will help keep it that way. She doesn’t come in hot and heavy but we have seen, her slow bond makes it that much stronger. Her approach to affection is sweet, its gentle affection and happy hops when she is excited to see you. Kids are welcome with Sydney, she especially enjoys the peacefulness and approach of slightly older kids. She walks nicely on leash and has a growing confidence in busy areas. A home with a yard or a townhome setup would be best for her, a busy apartment complex doesn’t match her vibe.
A quick note about Sydneys skin- Sydney has some environmental allergies that are being actively managed and improving. To put it simply- this girl is allergic to Texas! The good news? Her veterinarians believe that a move to the Pacific Northwest will likely bring her additional relief thanks to the cooler climate and lower allergen levels compared to the South. Her treatment plan is straightforward and has rescue support to start.
Sydney is more than her skin or her shy first impression. She's the kind of dog that makes a home feel peaceful—one of those “just happy to be nearby” companions who asks for little and gives a lot. If you’re looking for a soft soul who won’t overwhelm your home but will fill it with quiet love, Sydney’s ready for a fresh start.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
