My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bea (short for Beatrix, because she’s fancy like that 💁‍♀️) — the sweetest, silliest little pittie mix you’ll ever meet! This two-year-old lovebug is pure sunshine wrapped in white and grey fur and sealed with a smooch (and oh boy, she loves giving kisses). Bea is a certified lapdog, professional cuddler, and full-time velcro girl — she just wants to be wherever her people are, whether that’s cuddled up on the couch, strolling through the park, or cruising through the drive-thru for a well-earned pup cup.

See this sweet girl shine in her video!

Bea currently lives in a foster home with five other dogs — yes, five! — and she’s the perfect little roommate. She plays so politely, matches everyone’s energy, and knows when to wrestle and when to chill. One minute she’s zooming around with her buddies, and the next she’s snuggled up beside them for a nap or quietly chewing her toys like a total lady. She’s the kind of dog who just gets it — fun and silly when it’s playtime, calm and cuddly when it’s time to rest. 🌸

Bea is also a leash superstar! She loves her walks and adventures with her foster, especially if they end with a pup cup (priorities). She takes everything in with her big curious eyes and happy little wiggle — she’s the kind of walking buddy who makes even a regular day feel special.

With other dogs, Bea just needs a tiny bit of warm-up time before she’s ready to make BFFs, but once she’s comfy, she’s all about fun and friendship. Having a doggy sibling helps her feel extra confident, though it’s not a must — she’s happy as long as she’s got her people.

Bea met a kitty during her assessment and, honestly, couldn’t have cared less. She was way too busy sniffing everything else! We’d recommend a slow intro or another cat test if she’s joining a home with a feline, but she was very polite and gentle during her first one.

Bea can be a little shy when she’s first getting to know someone, but once she decides you’re her person — oh, you’re really her person. Expect lots of cuddles, side hugs, and soft eyes that make your heart melt on the spot. 💕

Because Bea loves to run, play, and stretch those pittie legs, she’s looking for a home with a yard to call her own — no apartments for this zoomie queen! 🏡 She’s got too much playful energy to keep it all bottled up, and she’d love a space where she can romp and roll to her heart’s content.

We’re not totally sure how she’d be with kids, but she might find the little ones and all their excitement a bit overwhelming — she prefers a calm, easygoing vibe where she can just be her happy, snuggly self.

With her soft grey patches, pointy little ears, and heart of pure gold, Bea is truly irresistible. She’s silly, sweet, and affectionate — the kind of dog who makes every day brighter just by being in it. Whoever brings this darling girl home is in for a lifetime of love, laughter, and cuddles. 💖🐶

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
