My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for a dog who will happily trade anything in the world for belly rubs and cuddle time, Paisley is your girl. Don’t worry though, you won’t be solely responsible for providing all the belly rubs by yourself, her friendly nature ensures any guest to your place will be greeted warmly and then gently asked for a belly rub, spreading the loving role across many.
Meet her and see her sweetness in action here then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/4ywtd5CmH6k

Paisley is estimated to be about 2.5 years old, she weighs 67 pounds, and is likely a pittie mix. No guarantees on breed or birthday given she is a rescue. The heart and affection, that we can guarantee! She’s incredibly people-friendly, opens up quickly to new friends, and has a way of leaning in close that makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. I can just see this girl greeting guests and working the room with ease. Can a social butterfly also be a couch potato? Yes! Paisley is proof!

Paisley is happiest when she is by your side, or your lap, if you’re cool with that. She loves affection, is eager to please, and is very responsive to commands and gentle corrections. On leash, she has the basics down and keeps an easy pace. She can get a little wiggly with excitement passing another dog, but she checks in with her person and settles back into it with a little guidance.

With other dogs she greets politely and can show her excitement by bouncing around and occasionally pawing at a dog. When they take her invitation for play she has a quick game of chase in her before she tires out and then she is happy to hang back and enjoy the shade. She does best with dogs who are calm, confident, and not easily fazed by her initial enthusiasm followed by short lived play. Best described as medium to low energy males. It is worth noting- Paisley would be perfectly happy to be your one and only. No guilt about her not having a “friend” or “doggie-sibling.” You are the prize and she knows that.

Whether she’s living in a home with a yard or in an apartment with regular walks, Paisley is flexible, as long as she gets plenty of snuggles and belly rubs. A family with older kids would be best if she is becoming a family dog, her couch-potato ways fit the older kids. She can’t quite keep up with the play and adventures of the littles.

Simply, she’s affectionate, gorgeous, and devoted- the perfect bestie! And she is ready and waiting for you!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
