My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dolly is all wiggle-butt and sweetheart! This is a dog that will always welcome you home with adoring fan fare. Picture this- you walk through the door, she is standing tall on the couch with her front paws perched on the back, tail wagging, butt wiggling, sparkle in her eye and ready for kisses. We know this scene in detail because it is exactly what her foster mama walks into each day. She explained that it is one of her favorite parts of the day. She bonds deeply with her people, and once you have her trust, you’ll have a faithful shadow who wants nothing more than to be near you.

While Dolly waits for her adoption day she is enjoying home-life and practicing all the best doggie manners and skills in a loving foster home. When I talked to her foster she shared so much cuteness! First, she is a cuddle bug, loves a good brushing session, and will even fall asleep during her “puppy massage.” But she is more than the pampering spa moments, she also has a playful streak and is goofy and lighthearted. She loves to sneak a shoe, she never chews them, but does the cutest scramble when her foster says, “Dolly, that’s my shoe!” She enjoys her toys and knows when her monthly delivery from Bark Box arrives!
Dolly is both home and crate trained, and is affectionate with all people she meets. On leash, she needs a little confidence at first when in new environments but with patience, she opens up and easily moves into enjoying her walk.

Where Dolly thrives is in the apple of your eye. A home where she can be your one-and-only dog would be her dream come true. She can be unsure with other dogs but will co-exist and grow into a friendliness, with a calm, confident canine companion who respects her boundaries and gives her time to settle in. But she would love to be an only pet and promises to supply the love of o-so-many pets. Dolly will need a cat-free home. When introduced to our house cat the excitement of seeing him was enough to believe she would likely try to chase a cat which we know only leads to chaos in the home

Her foster says Dolly is truly happiest when she’s with her person, whether curled up on the couch, hopping in the car to tag along, or lounging nearby while you work or relax. She’ll need a patient adopter who can help her feel secure and build on her ever-growing confidence. The reward is a devoted, snuggly, wiggly girl who promises to be greet you with love each and every day.

She is loyal, affectionate, has an adorable underbite and super sidekick vibes and she will never let you feel alone… Her name is Dolly and she is ready and waiting to be your girl!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
