My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jane – 6-Year-Old Female Wheaten Terrier (30.5 lbs)

Jane came to us two weeks ago from a breeder after spending her life in outdoor kennel runs. Despite that start, this gentle girl is quickly learning how wonderful home life can be — comfy couches, routine, and kindness. She gains confidence from other dogs and relies on them to help her navigate new experiences, making a friendly canine companion a must. Jane is soft-natured, sweet, and ready to flourish in a calm, patient home.

Home Requirements:
• Adult-only home
• Securely fenced yard
• Must have another friendly dog in the home

Medical & Adoption Info:
Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
Fostered in the Tampa Bay Area.
Adoption fee: $400

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
