My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HOS, born Nov 24, 2020, is a very special Australian greyhound with a soft, gentle presence. He enjoys exploring his surroundings with curiosity and ease, taking in new environments without hesitation. HOS has a steady, composed nature and displays relaxed body language, making him an easy companion to be around. On lead, he is extremely
polite walking well and with ease. His balanced personality and quiet confidence make him well-suited to a variety of home environments, especially those looking for a calm, inquisitive, and affectionate
companion. Oh, and let's not forget that incredible ROMAN NOSE! He is a looker, and a total catch. Gold Coast Greyhound Adoptions, www.goldcoastgreyhounds.org, gcgagulfcoast@gmail.com, 727-RUN-FAST.

More about this rescue

Gold Coast Greyhound Adoptions, Gulf Coast Chapter is a 501(c) (3) non-profit all volunteer organization that is dedicated to the placement of retired racing greyhounds into qualified, caring and loving homes since 2003. It is our mission to educate the public regarding the gentle nature and wonderful temperament of the greyhound breed.

With the closing of the Florida race tracks in 2020, the number of local greyhounds needing placement in loving homes has been significantly reduced. While we are still doing everything we can to help retired racers from other states and countries, we are excited to announce that we are expanding our mission to now work with other sighthounds and closely related sighthound breeds!
