My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella!
This lovely senior girl is searching for a quiet, loving retirement home where she can enjoy all the cuddles, soft blankets, and sunny spots she deserves. Bella may be a small dog, but her heart is absolutely huge—she is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when she’s snuggled up close to her people.

Even in her golden years, Bella still has moments of playfulness and joy. She enjoys exploring and being part of daily life, but she does prefer to take things slow and steady. A calm home with a gentle routine would be perfect for her.

Bella does come with some medical history that adopters should be aware of. She previously tested positive for Anaplasma and completed treatment with doxycycline. She also has luxating patellas, which can be common in small dogs; she was on carprofen for discomfort in the past, though she did not arrive in our care on this medication and currently seems comfortable. In January 2025, Bella had a dental procedure where nine teeth were removed, leaving her with a healthier, happier smile.

Bella is ready to spend her golden years as a cherished companion. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving senior who will fill your home with warmth, Bella just may be your perfect match.
