Tucker is a one year old, 38 pound, border collie mix looking for a forever home full of plenty of playtime, activities, and love. Tucker is a young pup and very active. He enjoys playing fetch as much as he likes spending time with his human friends on staff. He is looking for a person, or family, who is able to give him the exercise and training a young pup like him needs to grow into a happy, healthy adult!
Tucker shows potential to co-exist with some canine companions in his forever home, so long as he is given a slow, thoughtful introduction to his pup pals. Any kiddos in his forever home should be at least 10+, but he shows potential to do well with younger kids.

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.

They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.

6 months to 5 years: $125
6 years or older (or special needs): $50
Cats
6 months or under: $75 (or two kittens for $100)

Senior to Senior Program: For adopters age 60 or older, adoption fees are reduced to $15 if the animal is 3 years or older. This service is made possible through the Pets for the Elderly Foundation. You will be asked to provide proof of age.
Veteran Pet Program: Veterans and active military personnel receive 25% off of adoption fees. Valid military ID is required.

We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
