✨ Meet Maggie & Molly — The Sweetest Bonded Sisters Looking for a Quiet, Loving Home 🥰
Maggie and Molly are a pair of 7‑year‑old, 30‑lb best friends who have spent their entire lives side by side. After being surrendered through no fault of their own, they’re now looking for a calm, patient home where they can stay together forever. 💓 These girls are deeply bonded — where one goes, the other follows — and their connection is truly something special.
🌿 Their Personalities
According to their foster, “Omgosh, they are a joy! It’s their personalities. They’re so sweet, eager to please, and they look at me for direction to make sure things are okay.”
Maggie and Molly are gentle, sensitive souls who thrive on routine and reassurance. They’re still learning to feel safe in a new environment, so they can be nervous and easily spooked by unfamiliar sounds or changes. But once they settle in, their sweetness shines through.
They love 😍:
- Staying close to each other
- Playing with toys
- Quiet companionship
- Curling up on the couch during TV time
🏡 Ideal Home
These girls will do best in a quiet, low‑traffic household with adults or older teens who understand shy dogs and can give them time to blossom. They’ve never lived with young children, so a calmer environment is key.
✅ What They’re Great At
- Housebroken: Fully potty trained
- Crate-free: They haven’t needed a crate in years and are not destructive
- Dog-friendly: Respectful and polite with other dogs
- Cat-friendly: Lived with cats most of their lives and leave them alone
- Commands: Sit, stay, come, no — they listen beautifully
- Energy level: Moderate; they enjoy a little running in the yard and will likely love walks once the weather warms up
👋 Guests & New Situations
Maggie and Molly tend to retreat to their safe space when visitors come over. They’re not aggressive — just shy — and will need adopters who respect their boundaries and let them build confidence at their own pace.

Additional adoption info
Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.

Periodically we have adoption events around the greater Rochester, NY area; however, we largely rely on the application process to best match people/families with available pets and then set-up a meet and greet to make sure it's a great match before finalizing the adoption.
