My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jasmine, the zoomies queen!

This Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix is the definition of a true herder at heart - intelligent, boundlessly energetic, focused and always ready for her next "job" even if that job is chasing leaves across the yard and full speed.

Jasmine's zoomies are legendary and seemingly endless, and she'll happily put on a show every time she steps outside. When she's not racing around the yard, she's proving just how sharp she is. This girl learns fast, thrives on mental stimulation and loves being part of her human's daily routine.

Despite her working-dog instincts, Jasmine is also a total lovebug. She adores attention, melts for scratches and enjoys soaking up all the affection her human friends offer. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your heart full, Jasmine is your girl.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
