My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zuri is a stunning long-haired German Shepherd with a heart as big as his beautiful, plush coat. This handsome boy is searching for a special person or family to call his own—someone he can bond with deeply and love with his whole soul. Zuri may take a little time to warm up, but once he’s chosen you as his person, he’ll be your steadfast shadow and your most loyal companion.

Though he looks like an energetic adventurer, Zuri is actually happiest simply being near his human. He doesn’t require much exercise and is content to calmly follow you around, taking comfort in your presence. With a gentle, patient, and calm human by his side, Zuri reflects that same peaceful energy. He’s loving, devoted, and ready to give his whole heart to someone who understands his sensitive nature.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend—one who cherishes quiet companionship, unwavering devotion, and the simple joy of being by your side—Zuri just might be your perfect match.

More about this shelter

Farm and Feline is a nonprofit animal sanctuary dedicated to saving the lives of cats in Eastern North Carolina. While our primary focus is helping cats, we also welcome and care for other animals in need. Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets by rescuing, rehabilitating and adoption while promoting awareness about the importance of responsible pet care.

We believe every animal deserves a safe, loving, and comfortable place to call home. With our 40-acre farm, we are committed to providing a lasting impact on the lives of the animals we encounter.
