My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Biscuit, a 2-year-old, 10-pound bundle of charm with looks that stop people in their tracks. He has big, soulful brown eyes set in a rich dark-brown face and a gorgeous medium-length white coat with wavy fur and adorable spots. We believe he’s a mix of dachshund and phalene (the drop-eared variety of papillon), giving him both elegance and playfulness in one small package.

This little guy is friendly, outgoing, and full of energy. Biscuit loves to run and play with other dogs and is always up for a romp. Just as much, he enjoys being held, soaking up belly rubs, and showering his favorite people with kisses. He’s the perfect balance of fun-loving and affectionate.

Biscuit is a smart boy who would benefit from some basic training. He’s very food-motivated and eager to learn, which means he’ll pick up commands and tricks quickly with positive reinforcement. Training will be a wonderful way to bond with him and help him shine even brighter.

If you’re looking for a small dog with a big personality, a loving heart, and endless potential, Biscuit may be your perfect match! His adoption fee is $300. Email us for an application.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Email info@savethestrays.org for our application or use the online application at our website.

2.

Interview

We check applicants' vet references (if applicable) and personal references, then interview the applicants.

3.

Meet the Pet

Once approved, applicants can meet the dog and, if they like it, complete the adoption and take it home.

Additional adoption info

We are a home and foster care-based rescue, with no shelter facility. Because our rescue dogs live in private homes, we ask those interested in adopting from us to complete our application as the first step in our process. We only set up an appointment to meet the dog(s) in which they are interested after they are approved to adopt.
