My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kiefer: Snuggle Bug, House & Crate Trained, Dog Friendly, Loves Kids!

While Kiefer is a beautiful pup, his heart is even better. He is currently in a foster home where he has proven to be an absolute dream with children—in fact, his foster siblings are his favorite people in the world! He is gentle, affectionate, and loves nothing more than being where the people are.

Kiefer is also great with other dogs, making him the perfect addition to a multi-pet household or a family looking for their first furry best friend.

Why You’ll Love Him:

House Manners: He is already house trained and crate trained! He sleeps soundly and keeps his space clean.

The Ultimate Cuddler: He is a total "Velcro dog" who loves to snuggle.

Kid-Approved: He loves children and treats his foster kids like his best friends.

Dog-Friendly: He plays well with other dogs and is very social.

Kiefer is the perfect medium-sized companion who is ready to be your loyal shadow. He is fostering in a home with kids and dogs and doing wonderfully.

More about this rescue

At Halfway There Rescue, we are a volunteer-run organization dedicated to making a difference for animals in North and South Carolina. Our mission focuses on reducing overcrowding in local open intake shelters while promoting the importance of spaying and neutering through community partnerships. We work tirelessly to provide compassionate care, foster opportunities, and life-saving interventions for pets in need. By engaging with the community, we aim to create a future where every animal has a safe, loving home. Together, we can reduce the burden on shelters and ensure a brighter future for all.
