Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chupy is a 1-year-old male German Shepherd/Terrier mix and truly one of a kind. This wonderfully unique boy has a condition called alopecia, which causes his thin, patchy coat—and in some spots, no hair at all. While he may need a little extra warmth in cold weather, his condition doesn’t bother him and requires very minimal care (just some coconut oil to keep his skin soft and hydrated).
Don’t let Chupy’s hair condition fool you—this handsome guy has so much love and joy to give. Chupy LOVES to play! Toys, wrestling, chase, chewing on a good bone—you name it, he’s all in. He’s great at keeping himself entertained and brings endless fun wherever he goes.
Chupy can be a bit shy and hesitant when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality truly shines. He is incredibly affectionate and adores pets and scratches, happily resting his head in your hands while soaking up all the love. There isn’t a mean bone in his body—this boy’s heart is pure gold.
Chupy gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a great fit for just about any family. He is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, too.
All Chupy wants is a chance to learn what it’s like to be loved. In return, he’ll give you laughter, playtime, companionship, and endless sweetness. If you’re looking for a perfectly imperfect pup to shower with love, Chupy may just be your perfect match.

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
