Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 2 years
A little bit about Cece: - no children required - cats / small animals unknown - dogs unknown, potential for select other dog in home pending successful dog-to-dog
While she may not be the best with strangers, with treats and patience, Cece will be your new best friend! She`s the sort of dog where it`s unknown what basic doggy life experiences she was exposed to as well as being very wary of hands near her head. That`s why she`s looking for a calm, quiet, and loving family that can go slow with her, help her build her confidence, and give her a space to feel safe!
When Cece is settled, that`s when you`ll start to see more of her typical goofy, rambunctious pittie personality! She loves to jump through deep snow, is very willing to work for treats, and even gets prance-y paws as she follows you around! Make sure that you`re prepared for all of the playtime and enrichment this active pup will need. It`s unclear how Cece would do with other animals in the home, but what we do know is that she is not a fan of children, so any kids in the home will need to be at least 15 years of age.
While she hasn`t had the best start to life, that`s where you come in to help ensure that the rest of Cece`s years are positive, fun, and full of love! If you have a soft spot for shy dogs in need of some TLC, then Cece just may be the dog for you!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
