Meet Jesse Gemstone! This 25 lb hunk of love is just a gem of a dog. He is 5 years old, and can only be described as a happy go lucky guy who loves to be loved. He came to us with his two siblings after their owner passed away. Jesse has grown so much since coming into his foster home, and will only continue to gain confidence with his new family. Jesse is potty trained on a good schedule, crate trained and does great on walks and car rides. He gets along with other dogs and played in the small dog play group at the shelter previous to foster life. He has thrived on his staycations in other foster homes away from his siblings, and we know that he would be completely fine in a home as either a second dog or an only dog.
As of early December, Jesse is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and is handling treatment well. He will need to continue to refrain from heavy exercise in the next couple of weeks - which he doesn’t seem to mind based on his relaxed demeanor!
