My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Winona, a young, playful, cuddly kitten with a shy side. She came into the SPCA after being found in a barn in a rural area. Winona is the kind of kitten who will need some time and lots of love to help her learn that the world isn't so scary. She will need continued socialization in a home environment and would likely do best in a cat savvy home that isn't too loud and busy. She is still young and has learned that pets from people are really nice but will take time to come out of her shell further and become braver. She may initially prefer to observe things from a cozy hiding spot until she feels safe and secure, but soon her curiosity and playful side will win out. For those with a little patience and a lot of kindness, Winona will grow into a loyal and loving companion. She already really enjoys lap cuddles.
Winona would likely do well with other animals with proper, slow introductions. If you're looking for a cute tabby kitten with lots of potential who just needs a chance to shine, Winona may be the bundle of love to share your heart and home. Show her the love she needs and she will soon be full of kitten antics and playfulness, with maybe a little hiss and sass thrown in.

Adopting a kitten is a big responsibility and a lifetime commitment. Adopters need to provide all the love and care needed to help their kitten have a long, happy, healthy life. Kittens need lots of enrichment and play time, socializing, plus a good quality diet, and regular vet check ups, as with any animal. If you're ready to add a cute new furry family member to your home, apply today!

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
