This helps Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption with pet care costs.
A FRIENDLY & HANDSOME FELLOW: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 36 lbs.
Hi, my name’s Lloyd! I came to Mostly Mutts with another doggie friend when they rescued us from animal control. It took a little time for me to feel comfortable at the shelter, but – now I know I am in a good place. I’m getting lots of love while I wait for my new family to find me!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and did well, though I did not initiate playing with them. Also, I came to Mostly Mutts with another dog, so if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: Who’s a good boy? I’m a good boy! Ask any of the volunteers, and they can verify that I am sweet, handsome and friendly! Though initially scared when I arrived, I’m settling in and have lots of love to give! I was nervous but a brave boy for my shelter bath – remaining calm throughout. Soon after, my happy and playful nature was on full display. I can easily clear a 6-foot fence, so please don’t leave me unattended in the yard until you know that I won’t do that in my new home. / My energy level is 4-6.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer. I have mastered the ‘sit’ command and do a pretty good ‘stay’ as well. Check back soon to see what else I have learned. / Wire kennels are not good for me as I’m stressed in them and chew on/break out which is dangerous, so at the shelter, I stay in one of the little rooms instead of a crate. / My potty habits are pretty good as I’ve only had a couple of accidents on the shelter schedule, so hopefully I’ll do well in my new home once I know the routine.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love attention from the volunteers and am always excited to see them. Treats are great, as I am quite food motivated – so my continued training should be fun – and yummy! / I’m definitely not happy in a wire kennel. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m taking a medication due to shelter stress called Trazodone. I’ll likely be able to wean off of it once I’ve settled into my new home.
I am looking for a great home with a loving family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
