Meet Charles!

Charles is a distinguished gentleman. He loves to go on light strolls and then snuggling up with his human. We have not yet seen him with other dogs but he has shown interest when walking past them. Charles likes a calm and slow environment, there should be no children in his future home.

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
