My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Steve 🐾
Breed: Hound Mix
Title: Remote Work Supervisor & Professional Goofball

Steve is a sweet, silly hound mix whose greatest life goal is being wherever you are. Bathroom break? Steve’s there. Zoom meeting? Steve’s ready. Snack run? Obviously a team activity.

If you work from home, Steve will be the best coworker you’ve ever had—quiet during calls (mostly), excellent at morale boosting, and always down for a mid-day cuddle break. He believes personal space is a myth and that humans function best with a hound leaning lovingly against them at all times.

Steve is equal parts lovable goof and devoted shadow. He’ll make you laugh, keep you company, and remind you that deadlines are important—but belly rubs are more important.

Looking for a loyal sidekick with a sense of humor?
Steve is ready to clock in… and never clock out. 🐶💻❤️

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
