Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A little bit about Bear: -Kids: Unknown history. All interactions should be supervised. -Cats/Small Animals: Unknown history. All interactions should be done over a period of time and be supervised. -Dogs: Potential to live with another dog with a successful dog-to-dog interaction.
Say hello to Bear, a sweet girl that has had a bit of a rough start to life and is ready for a fresh start. This adorable little lady is calm, cool and collected and would enjoy a home that can let her settle in at her own pace and gives her lots of calm relaxation time! Bear recently underwent surgery to have a leg amputated that was fractured when she arrived to us, so she is still learning what life is like on three legs, so a home that has lots of love and patience while she figures things out would be idea. Bear also has some medical concerns that will need to be monitored by her new family, but our adoptions team can give you all the information on that. Do you think ear would be a great fit for your home? Come say hi today!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
