Meet Rupert, a darling little soul with soft black curls and a heart full of sweetness. A gentle Poodle mix, Rupert is the definition of "precious," though he prefers to take life at a quiet, tender pace. He’s currently a little shy as he navigates the world, especially since his beautiful eyes are undergoing some medical treatment to get them back to their best. Despite his temporary health journey, Rupert’s affectionate nature never wavers; he’s a quiet observer who finds great comfort in a soft lap and a gentle touch. He is looking for a patient, loving home where he can heal, gain his confidence, and be pampered like the little prince he is.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
