Allie is quietly soaking in the world and learning that it can be a pretty great place!
She’s a sensitive soul with a gentle heart, and while new environments and unfamiliar people can feel overwhelming at first, patience and kindness help her blossom. Allie may start off cautious and taking things in slowly with thoughtful eyes, but once she begins to feel safe, her affectionate side comes out. As she relaxes, she seeks closeness, leans in for pets, nudges for attention, and may even softly place her paws in your lap just to be near you. Watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding!
She enjoys enrichment activities like snuffle mats and food toys, which help her feel comfortable while she explores her surroundings. Once she’s settled, Allie becomes quite people-focused and will happily hang close by, checking in often and asking for reassurance in the sweetest ways. She would thrive in a quiet home with few visitors where she can move at her own pace and older children who understand how to give her space and read her body language.
On walks, Allie is still gaining confidence and appreciates slow, supportive outings while she learns the ropes. New people and environments can make her pause, but with time and positive experiences, she continues to make progress! If there’s another dog in the home, a meet-and-greet will be important to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Given her sensitive nature, Allie would likely shine in a home that can offer patience, understanding, and lots of quiet wins!
If you are interested in adopting Allie, please email sam.hafner@gmail.com to arrange an initial meet and greet with the pet’s foster parent or a staff member. They will reply to you within 24-48 hours.
