My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As the mist passes over the mountain, you and your adventuring party forge on and see... a dog?

Meet Misty, a mysterious and gentle dog with a heart of gold. Misty is a 3-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix recently transferred from Fresno Humane Animal Services. Misty is a tender and loving soul, always ready to have some cuddles with her humans.

Still building her confidence in the city, Misty can be a bit spooked by sudden noises or movements but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a snuggly lap dog, all about accepting love. Misty would be great for people who want a cozy couch companion and we`re sure she`ll become a confident dog as time passes! Come meet Misty today and unlock her mystery one beautiful moment at a time.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
