Do you need a little happiness, right this very minute? Haul out the Holly! And every minute from now on will be happy, no matter the season.
Holly is a 1-year-old treasure with red, mahogany and white markings. She weighs 37 pounds, and we think she’s a darling little mix!
She is one of the most adaptable dogs, one who we believe would make a great addition to just about any household or family. Holly has the perfect amount of curiosity regarding new people – she’s not anxious but also not over-excited. She is also playful and friendly with other dogs. She hasn’t met a cat or other animals yet, but she seems like the type who can be trained to peacefully co-exist.
Holly jumps at the chance to play, but on quiet days she is happy to laze about. She walks well on the leash, and she has a lower-medium energy level. She likes all toys and will happily play fetch with you, but she doesn’t have to fetch all day. She is not very barky, but she’ll let you know if there’s something worthy of your attention.
At night, Holly sleeps well no matter where she is: in a crate, on the bed or on the couch. She is in a foster home with young children, whom she is friendly toward, and she occasionally needs reminding to be gentle with them. She seems to be getting better at that already since being in foster.
She is house trained and crate trained.
Holly is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She’ll come to you current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. To meet her, get approved to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.
What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.
Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue
Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.
Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
