Meet Paul! Paul is approximately 2 years old and is thought to be a possible Shih Tzu/Terrier type mix.
Paul was transferred here from another shelter when they became full and needed help with space. From what we understand, he was originally from Mexico, but unfortunately we don't have much information for what his life has been like during his time here. What we can tell you is that this little squirt is a friendly guy with a unique "permanent wink" and he's ready for a wonderful new life!
Paul appears to be potty trained and keeps his kennel clean, so we recommend utilizing a crate to help him transition to the new schedule and routine. He should do well with other pets and children as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. He's active enough if you want a walking buddy or even someone to explore this area's beautiful trails, but also has a chill side that would enjoy basking in a dog bed in the sun.
Because we don't know Paul's history, we are hoping to find him a family who is open to the unknowns - this could include training needs, personality quirks, fears/dislikes, anything that would essentially be learned as you get to know him. So far with us he's incredibly social and confident, so we are hoping he'll adjust just fine!
If you are interested in meeting Paul, please follow the adoption application link below. We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been generally approved:
