My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chex! 🐾🤍

Chex is an adorable little guy who’s about 3 months old and weighs around 10 pounds. With a Heeler mix dad and a terrier mix mama, he’s the perfect blend of smart, spunky, and sweet — and we expect he’ll grow into a fun sized pup around 25 pounds.

Chex is the shyest of his litter, but don’t let that fool you… he is so worth the extra patience. Underneath that cautious exterior is an incredibly gentle, loving puppy who just needs a little time to feel safe. Once Chex knows and trusts you, he’ll run right up for attention and soak up every ounce of love you’ll give him. He’s also good at using the dog door.

He enjoys playing with his siblings and is ready to leave the puppy pile behind for a forever family where he can truly live the good life.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
