My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snowball is a little cutie pie about a year old. She has all her vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed.

She doesn't like poultry...so no fowl in her yard please.. She's not really fond of children. She weighs in at 13 pounds and has big wide eyes that makes you just want to hold her forever...and she's happy with that!

She will be crate trained and is started on potty training. Ok on a leash. Very pleasant and looking for her own person! If that's you, we really encourage you to fill out that application fast!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Applications must be approved prior to meet and greets for fostered dogs.

2.
Approve Application

A processor will call you, check your references. Please make sure your vet has permission to speak to the processor.

3.
Pay Fee

Once approved and your pet selected, payment instructions will be provided.

Additional adoption info

Fees vary by pet, but all animals will be totally vetted and up to date. We do require an adoption contract. Home visits may be required. Fenced yards unless prior approval is mandatory. References required. Volunteer run rescue that is the only rescue in 3 counties that do not have animal control of any kind...your calls will be answered but due to rural area may not always receive signal. Best contact is by text or email.

Payment plans available upon request.

Transportation provided to the Maritimes every 6 weeks.

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
