Felix is a sweet, gentle soul whose biggest life goal is very simple: be with his people. If you’re looking for a snuggly sidekick who wants nothing more than to curl up against you for belly rubs and back scratches, Felix is your guy.
He’s house trained, does great in his crate, and has lived peacefully with another foster dog. He enjoys canine company and does well with calm, respectful dog friends. Cats are a work in progress. He isn’t a fan of the resident cat, but he does listen when redirected, so with consistency and patience, he may be able to coexist just fine.
Felix absolutely adores the foster’s nine-year-old daughter, though loud or high-energy moments can make him a little nervous. He’d do best with kids who understand giving him space when he’s feeling unsure.
This timid guy can be shy in new situations and needs time to warm up, but once he does, his personality shines. When his fosters come home, he prances around happily and “talks” to them to share his excitement. It’s adorable. Walks and outdoor time seem to be his jam, and he is very into cozy sweaters to stay warm.
Treats? Meh. Cheese? YES. That’s the way to this boy’s heart.
Car rides are still scary for Felix, so his future family should be ready to help him build confidence there at his own pace. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Felix will blossom into the most loyal little shadow you could ask for.

We help animals who are in need by placing them in a loving foster home, providing medical care, and finding the perfect home for that animal to live in for the rest of its life. Tails of Hope takes mainly dogs, but has occasionally helped other animals in need. We take animals in through shelters and other rescue organizations, as strays, or as owner surrenders from people in our local communities.
