My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Some rabbits arrive quietly and watch the world from a distance. Thackery Earwicket stepped into it with curiosity, kindness, and an open heart, more than ready for a second chance.
With his impossibly soft rex fur and calm, gentle presence, Thackery seems like a rabbit from another time. The sort you’d expect to meet along a winding magical woodland path while searching for a tea party that’s running delightfully late. After a snowy outdoor adventure, he has found his way here; to somewhere warm and welcoming, ready to trade wayfaring days for cozy ones.
Thackery doesn’t take long to decide he trusts you. Within minutes, he’s ready to share affection, curiosity, and companionship. He greets new friends with ease, happily leaning into head massages and placing his paws in your lap as if he’s always belonged there. He’s the kind of rabbit who makes a room feel warmer simply by being in it..steady, sweet, and full of quiet charm.
Thackery is ready for a home where he can continue his story: one filled with soft places to rest, gentle hands, and someone who appreciates the magic of a truly kind heart.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adopting an animal is an exciting and important step for you and your family! Here is a brief outline of what to expect.
1. Come to our shelter and visit with the animals... come as many times as you like... you'll know when you've met "the one!"
2. Meet with an adoption counselor who will work with you to see if the animal you want can fit into your lifestyle, preferences, desires and expectations or if another would be a better match!
3. Complete the adoption paperwork and counseling session (this may take up to 45 minutes, so please be prepared to spend this time with an Adoption Counselor). You may also complete the adoption application online prior to coming to the shelter! Please note the application is an expression of interest and does guarantee animal placement.
4. Take your new best friend home!!
