My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milo!

Milo is a handsome 14 lb Miniature Schnauzer who will be turning 4 years old this upcoming February. He was originally purchased from a breeder as a young puppy along with his brother, Max. When their owner could no longer care for them, Milo found himself in need of a new forever home.

Milo is a sweet but more reserved boy who prefers a calmer approach to life. He enjoys attention and affection but tends to seek it out gently, once he feels comfortable. He’s a relatively quiet companion who does well in a peaceful environment and appreciates routine and stability.

He enjoys leisurely walks, car rides, and has demonstrated a good understanding of house manners. Milo has done well meeting other dogs and has not shown any issues with cats. He finds comfort in his crate and will often go in willingly when he wants a safe, quiet place to relax.

Milo would likely do best in an adult only home or with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to respect his space and let him warm up at his own pace. Like all Miniature Schnauzers, he will require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and neat.

Milo enjoys being close to his people without needing to be the center of attention, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, loyal, and slightly more independent dog. He is looking for a family who will give him the patience, love, and consistency he deserves to truly thrive.

Milo is:
Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies
Dewormed
Heartworm Tested: Negative
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Neutered

ADOPTION FEE: $375

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
