My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little lady is equal parts charm, snuggles, and sass. Adele is estimated to be about 8 years old and weighs just 15 pounds, but she’s got a heart bigger than most! Adele was found as a stray, and it was clear she’d had a rough start in life. She arrived super skinny and with itchy, infected skin, some eye issues, and hematomas on both ears, which give her slightly puffy ear flaps - a little quirk that makes her all the more lovable. Thanks to some TLC, she’s made incredible progress, and you’d never guess how much she’s overcome by meeting her today.

Despite everything she’s been through, Adele is nothing but sweetness. She’s a devoted cuddle bug who will flop over in an instant for belly rubs and happily snuggle up next to her humans or dog pals. She trusts quickly and loves freely, with a bright little personality that shines through every wag of her short stubby tail. We think she’s likely a pug-frenchie mix, which means she combines the charming personality of a pug with the playful, affectionate energy of a French Bulldog.

Adele is friendly with everyone she meets - people, dogs, you name it! She’s always ready with a big happy smile and a snuggle request. As she’s approaching her senior years, she would thrive in a calm, quiet home with someone who understands how to help a senior dog age gracefully. With the right person, Adele will fill your days with warmth, snuggles, and plenty of tiny moments that make you fall in love over and over again.

If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient, and endlessly affectionate companion, Adele might just be the perfect little lady for you! Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
