My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Bailey — A Sweet Senior Looking for a Soft Place to Land 🐾
Bailey is a 13-year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle mix who came to our shelter after being lovingly surrendered due to owner health. This gentle senior is now hoping to find a calm, caring home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort.

Bailey has lived with other dogs and is currently housed with a kennel mate, showing he can share his space well. While he’s never lived with cats, he does seem a bit intimidated by large dogs, so a home with smaller, calmer canine companions would be ideal.

Staff describe Bailey as very approachable and friendly — he happily allows pets from everyone and enjoys gentle attention. One thing to note: Bailey isn’t a fan of car rides, so a quieter lifestyle close to home may suit him best.

Our medical team has already taken great care of Bailey. He recently had a dental cleaning with three teeth extracted, along with blood work and X-rays, which revealed a heart murmur. Bailey is comfortable and continues to enjoy his daily routine, and our team would be happy to discuss his medical needs with potential adopters.

Seniors like Bailey have so much love left to give 💙
