My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Charmander!

Charmander is one of our Pokémon kittens, and just like his namesake, he has a confident, friendly presence with a warm, steady personality. This big boy is already tipping the scales at five pounds at just four months old!

Charmander is gentle, quiet, and very sweet. He loves being pet and happily soaks up attention, including belly rubs from people he trusts. He's active but strikes a great balance between playtime and relaxation. He enjoys chasing and pouncing on hanging toys and especially loves toys that pop and bounce around, like springs and other springy toys. He also likes seeing how fast he can climb to the very top of the cat tower.

When playtime winds down, this cuddle-bug is happy to relax nearby. He loves sleeping on the bed with his person at night, but is just as content curling up on the sofa with a soft blanket for a cozy nap. He enjoys companionship and closeness without being overly clingy, and is happiest simply being near his people.

Charmander does very well with other cats and is great with children. He is cautious with dog and would likely do fine with a calm, cat-friendly dog when given a proper introduction. He must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with a friendly resident cat, as he thrives with feline companionship.

Charmander is neutered, dewormed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative.

If you are looking for a gentle, sweet kitten with a sturdy presence, a playful streak, and a calm, affectionate nature, Charmander may be the perfect addition to your family.

More about this rescue

King’s Pride Kitten Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) organization located in central New Jersey. We are a small volunteer and foster-based rescue/ adoption service focused on rescuing, caring for, and adopting out orphaned kittens that might otherwise be euthanized, or die of illness on the street.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, as shelters closed and rescues were overwhelmed, we realized there was a profound and urgent need for rescues, fosters, and adoption services. Without our help, many kittens would be left homeless, living on the streets and, ultimately, adding to the feral population. We love what we are doing and hope to continue saving these tiny felines way after the pandemic is under control and shelters start opening their doors again. We function solely on donations from people like you, and we are working hard to save as many little lives as we can by getting our kittens adopted into loving forever homes.
