Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Max!
Max is a scruffy old man nearing his 16th birthday. He's a little chunky and, as a senior, should receive vet care as needed to monitor his health and quality of life, but he's a happy and easy going little man who will make a wonderful companion. He's lived with dogs and cats before and could do well with savvy children who know to let old sleeping dogs rest. Max came in with his friend Chico and they could go home together or seperately.
**if you are interested in Max, please complete an adoption profile at parl.org and come in during our open hours**

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.
When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.
If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
