Abby is believed to be a Heeler Pit mix and weighs just under 50 lbs, making her a wonderful medium-sized companion. She has a mostly white coat with striking black splotches on her face that highlight her sweet expression.
Abby can be shy around new people at first, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her true personality shines. She becomes an affectionate, playful dog who loves calm pets, cuddles, and quality time with her people. She walks comfortably on a leash and would thrive in a home with a yard where she can run, explore, and burn off some energy.
As a Heeler mix, Abby will do best in a home that can provide both physical exercise and mental enrichment. Regular walks, training sessions, and puzzle toys will help keep her happy, confident, and engaged.
At this time, Abby needs to be the only dog in the home, though she will be retested with other dogs in the coming weeks as she continues to settle in. She will also need formal cat testing to determine her compatibility with feline friends.
