Val Needs a Foster or Adopter by Saturday, 1/17 to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin

Val is currently in Georgia and must have a foster or adopter to secure her spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, she won’t be able to make the trip.

Meet Val
Val’s story is one of resilience and second chances. This 10-month-old Shepherd/Border Collie mix has already been through more than any young pup should. Found as a stray with road rash on her legs, it’s suspected she may have been hit by a car or tossed from a moving vehicle. She was also very malnourished and is working on gaining some weight. Despite this rough start, Val’s spirit shines bright.

Val is smart, playful, and affectionate. She’s on the higher-energy side and loves to play, especially with other dogs—she does great with everyone in playgroup. After she’s had her fun, she’s happy to relax and chill by your feet. Val would thrive with an active person or family who enjoys walking, hiking, or trips to the dog park, where she can burn off energy and show off her brains.

She’s often described as a petite, “pocket” shepherd—super cute and perfectly sized at 30 lbs. Val is heartworm negative and has her spay scheduled. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start a new adventure with a family of her own.

Age: 10 months
Gender: Female
Weight: 30 lbs
Breed: Shepherd / Border Collie mix (best guess)
Spayed/Neutered: Scheduled
Potty Trained: Unsure
Crate Trained: Unsure
Leash Manners: Working on it

Val has already shown so much courage and heart. She deserves a safe, loving home and a chance to finally rest easy. Could that home be yours?
