My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Lily and here is a little more about me :

My Social Life
Other cats ? I’m happiest when I’m not alone and would do best being adopted with one of my siblings. Having a feline buddy helps me feel secure and brings out my confident side.
Dogs ? I’m still unsure about dogs and would need slow, thoughtful introductions.
Kids ? I’ve never met children but might enjoy them with time

My Personality
Curious explorer, affectionate companion, and a little chatterbox. I enjoy being involved in whatever you’re doing and won’t hesitate to let you know when I want attention. I can be sensitive to being alone, but with companionship and reassurance, I settle in beautifully.

I Enjoy…
Being held and cuddled
Interactive wand toys
Climbing and jumping onto high spots to survey my kingdom

I’m Not a Fan Of…
Being by myself for too long—it makes me anxious and a bit sad.

What Makes Me Special
I may be small, but my purr is mighty! I also have a funny habit of giving unfamiliar objects a cautious little swat to make sure they’re safe before confidently moving on (yes, even the litter scoop and track toys).

My Perfect Home
My ideal home includes a sibling or another playful kitty to keep me company, along with people who enjoy interactive play and plenty of cuddles. I have bursts of energy, but having a feline friend helps keep me balanced and relaxed. I’m quick to adapt to new environments—as long as I’m not facing them alone.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
