My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Blue. This distinguished older gentleman was surrendered by his owner due to a difficult change in lifestyle. Blue is incredibly sweet and gentle with everyone he meets, and his calm nature makes him a joy to be around.

Blue is currently learning leash manners, as he previously had plenty of room to roam freely in a yard and didn’t need much leash experience. He’s catching on quickly and trying his very best.

If you’re looking for an older boy who simply needs love, patience, and a soft place to land, look no further—Blue may be your perfect match.

Why not complete an application and schedule an appointment to meet him today?

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
