Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Emma is a 7-year-old female Beagle with a heart as big as her adorable, sausage-shaped body. This sweet girl found herself in rescue through no fault of her own—her family was moving and couldn’t take her along—so now she’s searching for a forever home where she can truly settle in and be cherished.
Emma is a quintessential Beagle in every sense, from her expressive face to her signature bark. While she’s on the older side, don’t let that fool you—she has plenty of good years ahead and is surprisingly playful! One of her favorite games is grabbing a toy and daring you to chase her (fair warning: she has no intention of giving it up). She enjoys gnawing on small, soft toys and occasionally indulging in a good bone when the mood strikes.
Though she can live peacefully with other dogs, Emma much prefers the company of people or entertaining herself. She’s more indifferent toward other dogs and would do best with calm, similarly sized canine companions—if any at all. Cats, however, are a bit too tempting to bark at, so a cat-free home would be ideal.
Emma is a true people-dog. She may take a moment to fully trust you, but once you’re part of her pack, she’s all in. This velcro girl loves attention—she’ll happily put her paws on your shoulders, get close to your face for pets, and nuzzle her way into your heart. She wants to be included in whatever you’re doing and is the ultimate snuggle buddy, especially if there’s a cozy blanket involved. A true connoisseur of comfort, Emma also adores her naps and sleeps like a queen.
She’s fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and does well free-roaming in her foster home. She would do best with older children who understand and respect her boundaries, or no children in the house at all.
Emma is looking for a family who wants a playful yet relatively calm, affectionate, and loving companion—someone ready to spoil her as she enjoys her golden era in comfort and peace. If you’re searching for a devoted, cuddly best friend, Emma just might be your perfect match.
