Meet Wicket! This sweet medium boy came to us from the Bakersfield Shelter. This scruffy-faced boy loves everyone he meets. He is around 1 year old and weighs in just under 30 lbs. He is house-trained and gets along with other dogs and cats. Wicket is truly bomb proof! He does well with every dog he meets, walks well on leash, and sleeps in a crate at night. Wicket is potty-trained and loves romping around a yard with friends. He would do great with a family with kids or with other pets, he'd also love the solo attention of being an only dog, he truly can adapt to any home environment.

Adoption applications for our pups and cats can be found using this link: https://www.amazingstraysrescue.org/forms

Interview

If your adoption application is selected as the best fit to continue in the adoption process, a volunteer will contact you.

Home Check

After reviewing your application and phone interview, we will conduct a home check.

4.
Meet the Pet

The ASR volunteer will help coordinate a play date between you and the foster so you can meet the pet.

We are a 100% volunteer based rescue and due to the large number of adoption applications we receive, we are unable to respond to each individual applicant. If your application is selected to continue in the adoption process, a volunteer will contact you via the phone number provided on your adoption application.
