My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If there were three words that could best describe Miss Pinky it would be innocent, sweet, and loving. In all honesty though, there could actually be a whole list of words that could be used to describe her, but those 3 are definitely the most important because it’s so true! First things first, just watch her video and you’ll see just how sweet she is and you’ll be so in love with her.

Watch Miss Pinky playful personality here: https://youtu.be/f3xcGM-eKIY?si=yCySJkl1lbhEZb77

Isn't she the sweetest thing ever?! We totally agree and so do her foster parents. They cannot stop raving about her and have said out of all of the dogs they have fostered (which is quite a lot) Pinky is in their top 3 easiest dogs they have ever fostered! She is easy going, sweet as can be, a great companion, and just loves to be included.

Pinky absolutely loves playing in water! Whether she’s romping with her siblings, splashing in a puddle, or snuggling up for a nap. Pinky brings energy, curiosity, and a whole lot of love. She’s playful, sweet, and oh so cuddly, with a personality as big as her heart. Her daily routine? Eat, sleep, play, splash, repeat! Emphasis on the snuggles and naps though! Snuggles are a mandatory part of her day. She loves to snuggle and wants to be curled up right next to you.

Pinky has wonderful house manners and her foster's have raved about how wonderful she is. It didn't take her long at all to get the lay of the land, feel comfortable in her foster home, get the routine down, and make herself feel right at home. Her foster mom says that it barely took her a week to get her bearings. They gave her time to acclimate, gave her affection when she asked for it, and just gave her time. That's all she needs. Even when she is around kids, they respected her space and let her come to them. She can handle the hustle and bustle of a household after getting to know everyone and she never adds to that fun energy.

Miss Pinky is dog friendly and is currently fostered with multiple dogs in the home and she gets along great with all of them. She is great about matches energies with other dogs, from romping, bouncing, wrestling gently, and throwing paws with dogs who enjoy that style. When play is done, she’ll calmly walk away and enjoy the fresh air. Miss Pinky is a dog’s dog through and through. Miss Pink is very shy when she first meets new dogs and will do best in a home with a doggy friend that will allow her to get the lay the land, feel comfortable, etc. and then the rest is history. She’ll be following their lead in the house and yard, and never adding chaos. No matter how chaotic the environment gets. She is a peace-bringer.

Miss Pinky is also cat friendly too! She has been around multiple cats all with different personalties ranging from young and active to older and lazy. With all, she has been nothing but a friendly face to all of them. Just like she is shy when she first meets dogs, the same thing can be said initially when she is around a cat. All she needs is a little time and space and that sweet gentle girl we all know her to be shines through.

She is quiet and just watches what everyone is doing, and will sometimes even follow you just to see what's going on. You'll see her taking baby steps into new rooms, taking a look around, roaming, exploring, and observing everything around her. Before you know it, she has her favorite spots, knows her routine, and has her favorite doggy friend and/or human. If you like people watching, so does Pinky. Haha, that is the best way to describe how she acts when she goes to a new environment. Pinky is simply careful and thoughtful in new environments.

You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend!

At our 2-acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth, and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
