I’m a sweet 9-year-old Yorkie boy who came to FCCR right before Thanksgiving in critical condition and needing emergency surgery. But guess what? I made it through and now I’m ready to find my forever home! I’m a little fighter with a big heart, and I’m so grateful for this second chance at life.
I get along great with other dogs and I’m a very affectionate boy who LOVES to give kisses! My favorite place in the whole world? My human’s lap – that’s where all the magic happens! I’m treat motivated (what can I say, I love snacks!), I’m okay in the car for adventures, and I sleep in the bedroom in my little bed, though I’ll definitely try to sneak up into your bed if you let me!
Now, I do need a patient family who can help me with a few things. I’m still working on my house-breaking skills, so consistency and a good routine will help me succeed. I don’t like to be crated – I prefer being close to my people. We haven’t tested me on a leash yet, so that’s still a mystery to uncover together! I have a partially collapsed trachea but it only shows when I get excited and I take medication to manage it. I also have an occasional limp (back leg), but I also take medication for that and get around just fine. I’m a senior guy so this kinda stuff is part of life. It doesn’t get me down and I’m very comfortable and happy!

We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.
