*ACCT has a large dog rescue incentive going for dogs over 40lbs tagged by January 28th, and Divine is eligible! She will have a grant of $750 go to the rescue partner that takes her*
Meet Divine (ACCT-A-240202), a gem waiting to shine through!
She's estimated to be 3 years old and around 50lb. She can be a bit shy in her kennel, but once she’s outside, her personality truly comes to life with the cutest zoomies and playful bursts of energy. She’s a sensitive, sweet pup who just needs a little time to feel comfortable. Divine is looking for a home who will offer her patience, understanding, and a calm environment where she can build confidence and truly thrive.
Eligible for adoption, foster, and rescue! Meet Divine at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
BEHAVIOR:
Per staff 1/8/26: Leashed up normally, at the front, loose body, soft eyes, put head through the loop to come out! Improvement!
Leveling down to gold due to behavioral improvement
Per staff 01/03/2026: At the front of the kennel, when opening it she hunches her body down, soft eyes, lip licks, dodged the leash slightly. Once on Leah’s pulls hard to get outside and then to come back inside once we got closer to the door again.
Easy to remove the leash
Per volunteer 01/02/2026: She was very scared when I came to her kennel. I opened the door and attempted to leash her. She immediately recoiled and pinned herself into the corner. Luckily dinner was being served, and I was able to utilize her bowl of food to lure her to the front of the kennel. I leashed her up while she was eating and when she was done, she slowly followed me outside. The second we got to the yard she immediately got the zoomies. It was like a whole new dog. She was a little, unsure at times, but eventually came over and allowed all handling. Not bad at all going back in. Definitely food/treat motivated.
Per staff 01/01/2026: In kennel she approached the front gate off her bed very slowly. sat at front, lip licks, soft eyes, when my hand came towards her she would freeze, when it moved away she would lip lick and low tail would wag at the tip. Repeated this three times, then let out what I can only describe as a growl/whine.
Per staff 01/01/2026: Avoidant. When getting out of kennel she was on the bed, came to the front slowly with head low, soft eyes, ears back. Easy to leash, using a food lure. Easy to place back in kennel, low tail wags when unleashing.
