About Chapo:
Chapo is a lovable, social Shepherd/Mastiff mix with a gentle soul and a big personality. Known as one of the longest residents at LCAC, Chapo never let shelter life dampen his affectionate nature.
He is dog-friendly and absolutely adores other dogs—especially his best friend Neo, whom he met while at animal control. Their bond is undeniable, and Chapo thrives in canine company.
Chapo is a smart boy who knows sit and shake, loves belly rubs, and has even been known to open doors. He’ll do best in a home that can provide supervision, structure, and enrichment to keep his clever mind engaged.
His previous home wasn’t able to meet his needs, but Chapo remains trusting, loving, and eager to connect. He’s ready for a family who will give him the time and commitment he deserves.

Interview

A Wags 2 Wishes Adoption Specialist will contact you by email for any information that needs clarification. Check spam folder!

Meet the Pet

Schedule a meet and greet with the adoptive dog and your family at our rescue center in Plainfield.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If all approve, sign contracts and pay adoption fee Adoption Fees are: $200.00-$500.00 (subject to change without notice)

Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue's mission is to rescue abused, abandoned and forgotten animals in Illinois and surrounding states that are facing euthanasia and provide a loving and secure atmosphere for the animals transition in our foster home based program.
