Noelle is an estimated 6–8-year-old, 6-pound black Pomeranian with a gentle heart and a quiet sweetness that reveals itself more each day. She came to rescue from a hoarding situation, where she likely did not receive much hands-on attention, and she is still learning that people can be kind and safe.
Noelle can be a little nervous when someone reaches to pick her up and may bounce or spin away at first. Once she decides she’s ready, she happily jumps into your arms and settles in. She enjoys being held, loves sitting in a lap, and soaks up gentle pets. Her trust builds on her own timeline, and when it does, it’s incredibly rewarding.
She gets along well with other dogs but has not shown much interest in playing yet. She ignores cats completely. Noelle does well with pottying outside as long as she’s taken out regularly and rides nicely crated in the car. She hasn’t discovered toys yet, but as she continues to adjust to her new life, her foster believes her playful side will slowly emerge.
Noelle is on the thinner side right now and will likely gain a bit of healthy weight, possibly settling closer to 7 pounds. She has a soft, beautiful black coat and a delicate, soulful presence.
She was surrendered to rescue because she tested heartworm positive and her previous rescue could not afford treatment. Noelle has since completed fast kill heartworm treatment and is doing well.
Noelle is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. She is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.
Noelle is located in Santa Fe, TX, and her adoption fee is $550.
