My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Simon: The Delightful Mix
A Unique Blend of Breeds
Simon is an 8-month-old mix of Rat Terrier and Italian Miniature Greyhound. Weighing in at just 8 pounds, he is small yet leggy, making him an adorable and graceful companion. His unique combination of breeds brings together the best traits of both: the intelligence and athleticism of a Rat Terrier and the elegance and speed of a Miniature Greyhound.
Simon's Journey
Rescued from a hoarding case, Simon has shown incredible resilience. He is now fully vetted and ready to find his forever home. His past experiences have made him a little shy, but with patience and love, he's sure to become an even more lively and confident companion.
Personality and Play
Simon is a smart and athletic dog who thrives on playtime. He is dog-friendly, making him a great addition to a household that already has other canines. His lively nature ensures he will bring joy and excitement to his new home.
Ideal Home Environment
Due to his delicate build, Simon is best suited for a home without young children. His small bones require gentle handling, and an environment where he can feel safe and secure. An active family or individual who can engage in regular play and exercise would be perfect for Simon.
Why Choose Simon?
If you're looking for a loving, playful, and unique companion, Simon could be the perfect addition to your family. With his charming mix of breeds and delightful personality, he promises to fill your home with love and laughter.

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
