Teddy is a one year old Australian Shepherd who is very much a classic example of the breed. He is intelligent, energetic, driven, and always looking for a job. Teddy is not a couch potato and will thrive in a home that understands the physical and mental needs of an Australian Shepherd.
As a young dog, Teddy will need continued training, structure, and clear boundaries. He is smart and eager, but that intelligence means he needs guidance to channel his energy appropriately. Consistent training and enrichment will be key to helping Teddy become his best self.
Teddy would do best in a home with prior Australian Shepherd or similar herding breed experience. An active household that enjoys training, outdoor activities, and providing mental stimulation will be essential for his success. He is not an ideal fit for a first time dog owner or a low activity home.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
